Clinic updates

Clinic is closed for summer break & returning in 2021 at a new location!

[updated 24th December 2020]

Clinic is now closed for the year. It's been super wonderful returning to face-to-face (well, mask-to-mask!) sessions these last few months, seeing you again in real life and meeting new faces.

I'll be taking a nice summer break to revitalise and refill my cup after the challenging year its been. I'll be returning in February 2021 and will reopen online bookings late January.

Those of you on my email list already know that I'll be leaving my current clinic space. I naturally feel a mix of both sadness and excitement about the prospect! I've been in the beautiful surrounds of Thornbury Acupuncture Studio for 5.5 years now (wow, time flies!) But I feel it's time to move on and create something new.

Rest assured I've been working on something pretty special in the background and my new clinic will remain in the inner North, not too far from my current space (within 5kms). Skype sessions will also continue. Stay tuned!

THANK YOU for your ongoing support, especially this year (what a year for small business!)

I wish you and yours a lovely festive season.

I look forward to welcoming you to my new clinic space in 2021!

~ Nadine

In-person sessions returning 6th November

[updated 30th October 2020]
Melbourne friends. Wow, just wow hey. Monday’s announcement was a very welcome relief. And ... breathe!

How are you?

As we emerge from lockdown, go gently and with kindness.

Enjoy those things you haven’t been able to do for months. Sweet bliss!

There’s a lot of change to manage right now and much to integrate from the past months. You might be feeling all the feels. Noticing how you’ve changed.

You likely aren’t at your usual capacity or resilience.

And hey, that’s totally ok. Actually it’s to be expected. Lockdown has been quite the roller coaster and living with a constant level of underlying level of stress (or big stress depending on your life circumstances) takes a toll.

So go gently and with kindness.

Seek support with the re-emergence if you need.

I’m really pleased to be back in clinic for in-person sessions next week. Yes, that’s right ... in-person sessions are really coming back! My first day will be Friday 6th November.

Online bookings open this afternoon.

I look forward to seeing you in clinic again real soon!

Pausing in-person sessions and moving back online

[updated 9th July 2020]
Well, here we are again! Due to the return of Stage 3 restrictions in Melbourne, I’ve paused in-person sessions again as of today. Fret not, you can still find me online though!

It’s been super lovely seeing you all in clinic the last month or so! But alas, I must shift back to online only for a little while.
Online kinesiology & flower essence sessions have been going great with only the occasional minor technical hiccup. Feedback from clients has been real positive too, many surprised to gain clarity, insights and shifts just like in-person. My online sessions are best suited to emotional concerns/self-growth/life-path goals with a lot of discussion. So unfortunately no sound healing sessions online.

I look forward to seeing you via a screen or in-person when we emerge from lockdown 2.0.

Take good care until then. We’ve got this!

In-person sessions are back

[updated 1st June 2020]
I'm happy to let you know I'm now back in clinic for in-person sessions! With the easing of COVID19-related restrictions, I'm now able to return to in-person sessions. Yay!

I have all the appropriate hygiene and safety measures in place. But if you prefer not to come to clinic just yet, all good. Online kinesiology and flower essences sessions will still be available in the transition period.

I look forward to seeing you in real life again soon!

In-person sessions returning in June

[updated 25th May 2020]
I’ll be back in clinic for in-person sessions in JUNE! With all the appropriate hygiene and safety stuff in place of course.

In the meantime, online sessions are still on offer. AND I’m preparing behind the scenes for THE RETURN to in-person sessions. Yippee!
  • I’ve completed the Dept of Health covid-19 infection control training
  • I’ll be hand washing/sanitising and disinfecting surfaces like crazy
  • There’ll be a limit on the number of people in the building - you and me, plus one other practitioner and their client
  • I’ll ask you some covid-19 specific screening questions the day before your appointment
  • I won’t see anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms
  • I’ll monitor my own health closely and won’t treat if I have any cold or flu-like symptoms - so I may need to reschedule your appointment
  • I’ll start slow by offering a limited number of in-person sessions, I also don’t see clients back-to-back
  • Online sessions will still be available in the transition period

I’m taking a flexible approach to re-opening in-person sessions. In these corona-times it’s difficult to plan much more than a rough map. Let’s see how it goes.

In-person sessions will be available to book online from 1st June 2020.

Awaiting advice on in-person sessions

[updated 14th May 2020]
Ahhh, the easing of covid-related restrictions has begun. How you doing? I’m keen to get back to clinic and see your pretty faces again in real life!

But ... I’m still awaiting advice from my professional associations as to when that can happen. Unlike remedial massage and registered health modalities (e.g. Chinese medicine, osteopathy), kinesiology and sound healing wasn’t deemed ‘essential’ during Stage 3. It’s still unclear in Victoria what that means now that some restrictions have been lifted
I’m sure it won’t be long now though!
In the meantime, online sessions are still on offer  Stayed tuned for more updates.

Pausing in-person sessions & moving online (for now!)

[updated Thu 26th March 2020]
Government guidance changed again last night and we're now in Stage 2 COVID-19 restrictions. Victoria has also seen a jump in the number of reported cases this week.

The latest advice from my professional association (Australian Traditional Medicine Society) is that health-related services appear to be able to continue practice. However, I’ve decided to temporarily pause in-person sessions and move online for the time being. I was hopeful of continuing in-person support, but given the current situation and the nature of my practice, I no longer feel it's appropriate to do so. Safety is the most important thing right now - yours, mine and that of the community.

Skype sessions are now available as an alternative to in-person sessions. Interstate/overseas friends, you can also take advantage of this too of course! Skype sessions can be booked online.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support!

- Nadine

Clinic is still OPEN

[updated Mon 23rd March 2020]
Since Premier Andrews’ announcement on Sunday 22nd March, there’s been further clarification as to the types of businesses' that can remain open and I've had confirmation from my professional association (Australian Traditional Medicine Society) that there is no requirement for natural health practitioners to close practice.

I’m committed to providing continued support to the community, especially during this stressful and uncertain period (when holistic support is needed most!) Until advice changes, clinic will remain OPEN and I’m still taking bookings.

Please be reassured of the hygiene measures that are already in place in clinic (see below). Most importantly please reschedule your appointment if you:
  • Have cold and flu symptoms
  • Are in 14-day self-quarantine after returning from overseas
  • Have confirmed COVID-19
  • Have been in close contact with someone who has confirmed COVID-19

In addition, I'm now implementing these extra measures:
  • I’ll meet you in reception upon arrival so you don’t have to sit in the waiting area
  • Sessions will be modified so they are no/limited contact
  • If you don’t feel comfortable visiting clinic and simply wish to reschedule to a time beyond coronavirus, I absolutely respect your decision

Hygiene measures in place in clinic

[updated Mon 16th march 2020]
  • Surfaces are wiped with disinfectant regularly throughout the day (doorknobs, light switches, eftpos machine)
  • Hand sanitiser and tissues are in clinic for your use
  • A paper towel dispenser has been installed in the toilet and a foot pedal bin
  • I wash my hands after each client (I always do but this is a good time to reassure you of this fact!)
  • I’ve removed the blankets from the treatment table and wipe the table with disinfectant after each client
  • Water glasses are of course thoroughly washed but you’re welcome to bring your own water if you feel more comfortable
  • Not seeing any clients with any flu-like symptoms or who are required to self-isolate (if this is you and you have an appointment booked, please let me know).

If you’re feeling unwell/have flu-like symptoms and aren’t sure what to do, visit the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) or call the Coronavirus Health Information Hotline (open 24/7) on 1800 675 398.
